Dr. Yousaf Hayat is a medical and public health professional with over 30 years of experience in technical & management assistance to international public health & health systems programs. He has led major health programs of Save the Children and American Red Cross in Central Asia and Pakistan. He also has comprehensive experience in the design, development and leadership of major healthcare programs, governance and management systems, human resource recruitment, strategic planning and community relations, fund-raising and supervision.
Dr. Yousaf is an expert trainer and has overseen the recruitment and training of different levels of health care providers and managed more than 1000 volunteers simultaneously, including youth/community members. Dr. Yousaf has excellent command of spoken and written English, is fluent in Urdu, Pashto and several Pakistani provincial languages; has good working knowledge of Persian, Dari, Tajik and Russian. He also has proven ability in developing strong operational alliances; coordination and collaboration with major NGOs, PVOs and government institutions.
Dr. Yousaf earned his Masters of Science – Health Informatics (MS-HI), 2012 with Gold Medal from the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan, Masters in Project Management (MPM), 2011 Gold Medal from the SZABIST Institute of Science and Technology, Pakistan and MBBS Degree (equivalent to MD), 1983 from the University of Peshawar-Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, NWFP, Pakistan
